And So It Begins

It turns out that preparing to go on a motorcycle trip for two weeks becomes easier each year. George and I packed a few essentials, he loaded the bike, I hopped on, and off we went. It was a short trip to the beautiful town of Carson City. We are spending the night at the Holiday Inn on the very outskirts of town. On the way through town we stopped and picked up our passports, because according to Uncle Nancy, if we have them signed at a bunch of small towns in Nevada, we get a certificate signed by the governor.
The most difficult part of the ride, for me, is that I tend to perseverate about whatever is the issue of the moment. Right now it is work. So, from Folsom to Carson City I could not quiet my mind. I am wondering who I could call/email/etc. and whine too...when an interesting thing happened. I was reading Eat Pray Love (which I do not love) when I read what Liz's Guru said to her. You should never give yourself a change to fall apart because, when you do, it becomes a tendency and it happens over and over again. WOW. Did those words resonate. A lot. I am actually writing them in this blog so I can find them when I need them. So, tomorrow I will fill my mind with anything else.
Can one of my followers please email Ms Emily and give her the blog address? I forgot to. I am sure that even in Paris she would want to travel along.
Good night to all my friends. See you in Ely. Jenson

  1. so much for my last comment...lost in cyberspace when I could not remember my password and had to apply for a new one...hmmmm...as I was saying....Marc looked up your route on the map and we fantasized about joining you, but 500+ miles for this afternoon was a bit too far for us to seriously consider...and so...it's back to cleaning toilets and wondering what we will eat for dinner tonight...we're with you in Spirit, though....stay safe! 2. Eat, Pray, Love is ok, but I think Tales of a Female Nomad is more your style. Check it out when you get home and are missing your adventure. POST MORE PICTURES!
